From memory, Yes. I had to blank off an outlet which is at the bottom of the rad. Bottom left hand corner if you are looking at the rad with the top hose on the top left.
Next question Scott, what hoses did you use?

Managed to use the original top hose (I think) and partially the same bottom hose. The bottom hose needed to be longer so I used a piece of metal tube to join it to another section of hose. The thinner diameter pipe that runs from the thermostat housing to the top hose side of the rad was just a generic straight section I purchased from Halfords.
I've nearly finished the Volvo rad install (just need a std Sprint top hose). I think mine was from a 240, anyway, it looks the same as the 740. As Scott said, I used the std Sprint large top hose. For the bottom hose I used a std Sprint large top hose with an ali connecting piece, then a straight piece about 3" long connected to that (bear in mind I have an EWP). For the small hose from the stat housing I just used a length of 5/8" bore heater hose. Oh, and there is a small overflow pipe that I blanked off on the top RH side. I've also fitted the leccy fan, so when I've put the rad back in tomorrow, I'll take some pics.

Finished at last but haven't taken the car out for a spin yet. Thanks to Graeme for giving me a couple of rad hoses so that I could finish the job off today.
Looks slightly different to mine only in that mine is alloy coloured and the blanked off bit is bottom right as you look at it from the front of the car. I'll keep it for you just in case you need a spare.
Cheers Scott. Mines a copper one. I had a choice, but there's sod all difference in weight and I believe copper is a better conductor than Ali?
