chassis legs

I bought the chassis leg and am a member of the club.
If the club do offer these items that are supposedly better than original then why dont they list them in dolly mixture! I noticed that rimmer bros sell them at 88+vat so would rather pay this than for a pattern panel.

You can't beat originality! Our legs are slightly thicker gauge, but are no more than the best possible copy in the absence of original tooling, but they'll more than do the job; unless you get SW's mate to fit them of course<img src=
To be fair only very regular participants to this site would know about Club legs so far as they arrived well after copy date for DM.

I'm sure Malc will be setting the record straight for next issue.<img src=

Hi Dolomadad, I bid for the chassis leg until it got to 80 odd quid, then I figured I could get one from Rimmers for that (yes, maybe not original, but if gets me through the mot!). Then I found out about club stock so have sent a cheque to nice Mr Malcolm today.

PS Hope the leg gives you years of pleasure. Careful with the welding though, eh. <img src=

Was suckered in by description of "rare item" but now know better!
The ns one will be a club item and ill be a lighter shade of red.......
Thanx for info on this!

I guess we both learned something from this, I was nearly the red faced one. <img src=
http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... rassed.gif ALT=":o"> I stopped bidding at £80... so someone else must have took the bidding to the amount you paid. They know who they are! <img src=

Good news and bad

Bad news is that chassis legs will be up by a fiver each on the next batch; fabricator caught a cold on the first lot and as a man of integrity held the price he quoted, but needs to be 'sensible' on the next lot. Still, still very good value at £65.00 delivered!!

Good news is when I pick up the next batch I will also be picking up cill reinforcers which again will be better than original (hopefully zintec therefore rust resisting) and cheaper than other outlets currently charge!
