There's very few on the road around here, surprised neither me or anyone that knows me ever spotted yours out and about. Was it used as a summer only show car or something?

Re: Just Checking
The chap who sold it to me bought it in June (via ebay) from a seller in Guildford for his son as his first car. He did quite a bit of work on the mechanics to get the car up to a safe standard (brakes, steering, shocks, bushes etc) as well as general servicing, but his 17 year old son just didn't like it - would prefer a Saxo or some other euro-boxette. The car was kept and driven mainly round Maiden Newton. It only spent a few weeks there - from end of June until I collected it last Sunday. The original owner bought the car from a Triumph franchise just 20 miles from where live and kept it until 1991. The second owner kept it until 2003 when she sld it is a classic car collector in Guildford who sold it to the guy in Maiden Newton in june his year becuse he couldn't be botherd to do some of the routine servicing to re-mot it in 2004. It sat in his garage for about 6 months after he stopped driving it. The guy I bought it from never got round to registering it in his name, although he taxed and MOT'd it - so at least his two months don't get added to the V5C. According to the telephone book, the first two owners are still at their respective addresses, so I shall write and ask for any stories, photos etc.
