coil

#31 Post by redrichie » Mon Sep 18, 2006 3:34 pm

Exactly the same symptoms I had last year, although I did put on a spare coil I had to try that....and it wasn't, it was the newtronic electronic ignition blackbox....so if you have a spare set of points throw them in if the coil doesn't work. Hope it's the coil though, because otherwise you're looking at whatever the newtronic set costs....in the region of £80 I would say.

Bad earth then in that case!
...or you were trying to save on the fuel cost for the way home

I hope you took the for sale sign out whilst it was on the truck...

What a way to lose my Dolly Club event virginity. I had a great day and concur with all the thanks given previously. There were some great cars that gave me inspiration to be there with mine next year.

Nice to meet a few of you guys off here.

David - Thanks for bringing the exhaust back box. The inner piece of pipe has been liberated from the outer after much knashing of teeth. I'll get the money to you as soon as i know it all fits with the rest of the system i have.

Thanks Julian for helping me to the car with the shocks, feedback has been duly posted.

Had a short chat with Alun about tight rubber in cages. It was more innocent than it sounds and a lot less gimpish!

The kids loved the venue although i must confess the littlest one did pee down the slide in the bouncy barn play house, it was the squeak that gave it away when she slid down - quick exit - ho hum!

Once again, great day!!!
Great day...

Yes, thanks to all who organised this for such a great day. The sun was shining, I got to meet like-minded nutters (loved ALG1K btw, and that crazy pimped up 1300FWD).

The only downside was that when my kids came off the Bouncy Slide, they were covered in p1ss....<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/images/emoticons/mad.gif ALT=">:">

That's very kind of you Andy. I think I seem to remember a 7 being parked in the same field.
