Accomodation

We're all sorted out, staying in a cottage a couple of miles from the circuit booked through www.menaiholidays.co.uk.
Well we will be camping. I'll probably be sleeping in the Sprint just for security reasons!

Looking forward to it immensely. JUst hope we don't have gales as the tent is about the same size as a small house.
Graeme took me for a quick spin in his Smart Roadster yesterday. That is a seriously fun car. Approaching one roundabout in particular (no traffic around) I was breaking a long way before Smifter (pity there were no pedals on my side) & as we went round, the car just stuck like the proverbial brown stuff to a blanket. I would say it wasn't far off the handling of an Elise. Anglesey not far off. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

Oh and thanks for the Sprint engine, gearbox, o/drive, wheels & tyres, rad & viscous coupling. <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">
No problem - its good to be able to fit my car in my garage again without having to dismantle it first!

Don't tell everyone about the roadster Mart! - you'll spoil the surprise! I'm really enjoying blowing away people's misconceptions about smart cars at the moment <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

It doesnt quite have the 'feel' of an elise mainly because some plonker decide the UK cars would have namby pamby electric power steering as standard and the front suspension is set up for slight safety understeer. There's defenitely some giant killing potential though!

Should be good at Anglesey though as its a nice short twisty circuit.<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /devil.gif ALT=":evil"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /devil.gif ALT=":evil"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /devil.gif ALT=":evil">

It's a great thing driving 'the underdog'. The Mini Cooper has been the same on track days. Took it for a quick 10 laps at mallory on the Triumph day and about the only thing it didn't pass was a tuned to buggery Spitfire (I was in the road car group). AND I had Jigsaw Mark in the Passenger seat! Just goes to show what you can do with a car that has good brakes and can go around corners. Just wish it was rear wheel drive!

Have you seen Tiff Needles on 5 doing the latest tests at Anglesey? It does look quite spectacular and thats the track not the hang it out style of driving.
