the part in the solonid that operates the engagement fork, or the bushes are too worn. basicaly this means you need to take it out of the car and try it, if it works ok, then as far as im aware it is the bushes, best to get a new one or that one rebuilt by professionals as they arent easy to work on if you dont know what your doing. but first check its not something simple like a loose earth (or live for that matter) check they are nice and clean to. hope that helps, luke
