Hi, does anyone know if fitting rear belts is just a bolt in job or do you have to fit mounting points, cut holes etc.
thanks.

Just a bolt job - although you might have to clear out some of the holes, they tend to be packed with gunk (as I found!)

All the mountings exist - all you have to do to fit is remove the rear seats, punch a pair of holes through the parcel shelf fabric for the reel bolts to go through.

It took about 2 hours to fit ours all up <img src=

2 3 point inertials and a single centre lap belt.

Hi

I know this might be a SFQ but are rear seat belts generic so to speak or are there set ones for Dolomites?

I need some for my 1850 and Emporium Alun doesn't have any (shock horror!<img src=
http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/eek.gif ALT=":eek"> ) - I checked stock there first.

If anyone has a set in very good condition let me know please! (Apologies if I should have posted this elsewhere).<img src=

I hate to let you down susie but the rear belts won't be suitable for cats!

They are particular to Dolomites. I think you can contact securon direct and they will give you the part number you need. Once you get that, see if Halfords have got it or order it direct from Securon.

Someone might have some sitting in their shed. I've got some in my shed for a Stag but they aren't suitable for a dolly.
You need a securon model 254 for the left and right, and a 210 for the lap belt. Most saloons from the period would have had the same type belt fitted aftermarket.

I do have a spare set of Securon rear belts in good condition (i.e. working and not frayed etc). There are 2 intertia reel type belts and one static 3 point centre belt. Complete with mounting bolts. Depending on where you are you are welcome to collect them or I can arrange to send them to you. Looking for £20 the lot, no use to me so they must go. Standard parcel post shouldn't be too expensive I wouln't have thought.
you can mail me MJG AT mgibson DOt Co DOT UK if you like

Scott, cats get to sit in the front of the car where all the action is!<img src=
http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol"> Rear belts are for nephew (aged 4) who I take out occasionally (he is car and motorbike mad). When I took VGK to Alun's my nephew was there. It was the first time he had met Alun. I couldn't get the gear into reverse so Alun jumped in to park it for me but instead, he sped off up the road in it. My nephew wanted to know what 'that man' was doing with 'our' car!<img src=
Dave, thanks for converting the belts for me. Did you make it to the game on time Sunday? I gather Wales slaughtered the other team so it must have been a great game.<img src=

Yep, got into the stadium just in time for the anthems. A long but very good day.
