just spent two hours making a statement for the police
caught some scroats ripping a nos plate from my clio
watched them on my cammera then realised that there one was crouching in between two cars them so challenged them he returned the rear plate and they drove off so i rang the police and gave the reg of the car they were driving got a phone call ten mins later they have apprehended them and do i want them arrested (yes) so they got a little stay in custody as a easter pressy and a court apperance to follow
so beware all who have got a few cars around

The statement is purely because they need eye-witness evidence of them committing an offence. Without it, they don't have enough grounds to charge them.

Well done George, most people wouldn't have made the call. It might not be crime of the century but at least this way, they are on the radar now.
They take the plates to fill a similar car with fuel before driving off without paying.

Far less hassle reporting them now than trying to convince the police you just haven't knicked a tankfull yourself later!

i relise that they need a good well filled out statment so the defence doesn't get it dropped because they misspelt the door number.but 2 hours? i just goes to show why some cops think its a waste of time chasing those 'minor crimes', knowing that the scum will get 5 hours community service and a small fines that they can pay off at £2 p/m.
I wasn't having a dig at you for reporting them but personally i wouldn't cos the scum would then have me nicked for breaking their fingers<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">
If you believe what you read in the papers then they'd just get a warning these days! Aparently you have to be a really unlucky rapist these days to get any form of decent punishment!
