Expensive Trouble?

I have just removed the H.T. leads from my Sprint with the intention of removing the plugs and putting a small amount of oil down the bores prior to starting it up after a lay up of 6 months - I didn't get as far as removing them. To my horror I discovered No.2 plug sitting about 0.5cm deep in oil, I would be most grateful if any members can offer advice as to what wallet thumping problems are likely to have caused this. Before lay up the engine seemed to be performing well and wasn't smoking - I haven't changed the plugs before having got the car as it has been off the road.<!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :rolleyes --><img src=

Strange place to post this thread...but still.<br>

All that will be, I expect, is the plug tubes need sealing. Take off the rocker cover & check that the tubes look ok. Then use your favoured sealant & put them back in again. The bigger collar on the tubes should be uppermost towards the rocker cover.<br>

Don't fill your head with sealant - buy a set of machined plug tubes with o-rings from the club.<br>
