That convoy for fun sounds like a good idea. Is it getting anywhere? I may be a useless student but Im willing to help in organising this stuff. I have to much spare time... 1) Go along to your area TC meets.<br>
2) Save a few pennies and start hassling your mates.<br>
3) Join CT next summer and put your name down for the RBRR.<br>
4) Pursuade someone with a well sorted Spit to take you out on some of those lovely lanes in your area (hint: take a change of undercrackers)<br>
5) Help organise some TDC events too.<br>

The CT and TDC are complementary and irreplacable parts of my cars lives. TC cannot help me keep my cars alive in the way the TDC because they can't get parts remanufactured. Why? How happy would a Herald owner be if CT spent his memebership on getting a part for a dolly or a Roadster remade? Conversely the TDC cannot provide the local knowledge pool that CT does. Maybe I'm lucky but at my monthly CT meets there are usually two professional vehicle restorers, an ex Triumph designer often shows up and there's a guy who can rebuild a 2000 engine in his sleep. There isn't a TDC local meet. What chance is there really of the TDC organising an event that raises about 40k for charity every 2nd year? <br>

Sorry but as a keen TDC member my focus in this club is helping keep the model(s) alive. If we try to compete with CT on their terms we're wasting valuable energy.<br>

That said how cool would it be if 10 of the 50 starters at next years RBRR were TDC cars suitably stickered up? ;-)

At least three of the runners in the last RBRR were TDC members...<br>
We would dearly love to be able to host more events such as convoys etc, but the committee is at full stretch and we just haven't the time to take on any more tasks. Quite simply, we need more volunteers to come forward and offer to organise events.
