Lovely car. If only I had the cash and the space. Space I could find I suppose. The cash..... not according to my financial controller (the wife)<img src=
Do you REALLY want to sell it??
I have no choice, really! It's been in storage for a bit, I primed it, started in the first ten seconds of cranking and drove it back crusing at 70 with the stereo blazing, it was really tugging my heartstrings. The comfort, the looks, the waves from other people....

But I don't use it enough, have the space or the inclination (and that's the important bit) to keep it any more. I'm financially and sensibly only able to keep 1 car at a time, and having two just doesn't work - I'd like her to go somewhere where she'll get used, touched up and showed and shined! <img src=

would I sell XYJ which is such a genuine well sorted original genuine low mileage car with history for a lash up 1500 with sprint mechanicals of unknown provenance
Nice though your new one is...its a ringer. It will always be a ringer...
Interesting ringer yes but a RINGER!

5 years on you'll wish you still had XYJ...

Just my take mate...its your life.

Jonners

I know Jonners - but my driving is heading elsewhere and I just CANNOT keep XYJ, regardless - I've no where to put it, no money to finance it for the road, no-one to drive it, can't insure it as well as my 1500 thing.......and so on.

I also want a car I can do some scatters, track days and generally take apart, tune up, mess about with - and the last thing I'd want to do is expose XYJ to any of that kind of stuff! I even held off putting my gauges in her because I didn't want to do it! With the 1500, it's so far gone that whatever I do won't matter (in terms of modifications)

So it's for the best - who knows - in a few years, I might have her back when I'm out of uni! <img src=
http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/pimp.gif ALT=":hat"> (and I hope to!)

I will miss her dearly - she's been an excellent motor, guv'! <img src=

Few updates in the auction.

Going very well! 62 watchers, not that that means anything <img src=

If richards 205 GTI was anything to go on. Nah not really.

25 watchers and one bid I think <img src=

Must admit that scenario puzzles the hell out of me. I had a Volvo for sale some time back - 29 watchers and 1 bid. Whats the point? I just think it's weird but hey, that's ebay for you.

I think the majority of watchers add things to their list just for interest, to see how it goes - I know I do, especially if the auction is 'interesting', like this one.

Got a fair few new bidders though! Cool!
