Okay Mr Picky! But they are both 1979 just different letters, same colour, same wing mirrors (albeit no glass in his mirrors) etc.

Anyway, I did say a brother, NOT a twin brother <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /laugh.gif ALT=":lol">

Quote:
1850s are definitely female!

Alun, you are of course referring to the fact that 1850s are beautiful, reliable and by pressing the right buttons and treating her right; man's best friend?

Debs, liked the pictures of Molly - paintwork looks really good. BTW, your suggestion of leaving the choke out for a bit stopped Sebastian from kangarooing. Cheers
Tempremental and 8 valves short of an engine; a concentration of looks at the expense of performance

Alun,

Your quote about 8 valves short says it all really. This is why I said an 1850 had to be male, as size matters to a bloke, whereas us girls prefer quality rather than quantity!

Susie,

So glad that Sebastian is now behaving himself

Engines....

dont really need 16 valves at all...

Its just a marketing ploy. You can get just as much bang per cc with a well designed 8 valve...and/or a turbo.

Trouble is the market demands it....cos 16 v engineers run ther lumps in a higher state of tune to make it look like the 16 v is making the difference. Saab know this...they could just keep turning the boost up on the 8 valve but even they folded in the early 90's. Nothing wrong with an 8valve xantia or 406 either.

I like sprints but they started a trend that is ultimately counter productive. It means we all now drive around in 16v complex screamers wheras we could be a bit bigger, more torquey and a bit lazier for the same fuel outlay.

As usual the yanks have it right.....4 liter big lazy engines that do 30 mpg...and 300k miles.
