Had to be the first to say this but you've listed it under cars rather than electrical goods!

Only joking mate. If I could justify a 2 seater, I'd have one myself. Or a cheap Elise at a similar price.

Oh, and guess who has done his head gasket on a TVR? That is going to be a very interesting bill. Shells and rings being done whilst the engines out. Gulp. An expensive lesson learnt. Call the AA when your temp guage goes mental and you are getting lots of steam in the car!
Adam, your car would die a fiery death in its wake and doesnt deserve to share the same tarmac

Don't underestimate what 80bhp can do in the right chassis. It ate Mart's Sprint, spitfires, an MX-5 and V8 TR7's for a mid morning snack at Anglesey and still averaged 43mpg and barely touched the tyres! The only things that I couldnt keep up with were a twin turbo Supra, an XE powered TR7 and 911 turbo.

Brilliant car, possibly the best thing I have ever done (car wise) and the most fun I've had that doesnt involve raspberry sauce and bananas. Don't confuse them with 4-2 city cars, they are worlds apart.

I really really dont want to see it go, but alas responsibilities come to us all.

So far I've had half a dozen offers at about the reserve price so I'm fairly confident of a fair sale. Bugger.

Wierd innit what some manufacturers do. I can't recall which of the motors programmes it was but one did a test of the original smart and proved how horribly it handles. They reckoned it was easily the worst handling car in production and well up there in the list of worst handling cars ever made. They ended the piece by saying that the roadster was one of the best.

Kinda reminded me of Reliant. Scimitar and Robin out of the same stable? WTF is going on there?

Hope you get a sum that eases the pain.
I have to agree, it's a great little car and a lot of fun (only been a passenger) Straight line speed isn't special obviously, but then you don't have to slow down (much) for the bendy bits.

I think you would have had the XE'd 7 if he wasn't on slicks.

Both cars were crap in my humble, but similar such diversification could help TVR at this moment in time...

I think it was Top Gear that said that about smarts when they tested the colt/forfour thing. I actually enjoy it when the roadster gets tarred with the same brush as a 4-2 as it scares the crap out of them when they try and keep up.

I would love to have a play in the z cars bike engined roadster - 180bhp and 700kilos

or even nicer the brabus V6 bi turbo prototype for about £250,000

I'm just negotiating with a buyer via messenger as we speak. I hope the missus appreciates the sacrifice I'm making!

Oh and bad news on the TreVoR Scott, sounds £££nasty. I'm surprised though, i thought every Sprint owner had vision that automatically focused on temperature gauges?

It was bouncing around like a complete loon (the temp guage), and the steam was something that happened occasionally. I thought it was a small leak on the heater matrix. I also didn't fancy sitting on the hard shoulder of the M11 at 1:30am with the temperature hovering around freezing waiting for the AA.

Still, If i'd known the likely bill I would have suffered the cold and juggernaughts!

Fingers crossed on the sale. That ex Police one looks pretty smart despite the high miles.
