Bushes?

Bloody car's sitting straight again now! Or if anything, slightly higher on the left (measured with my trusty mk1 hand in arch device)... So I'm not at all sure what's going on there!

Bloody Royal Snail didn't manage to deliver my rocker stud or plastic 1300fwd bung today, even though they were def. sent yesterday by Canley... Dorchester's great, really it is...

Anyway, I thought as I'll be having the front apart next week to trace the mysterious squeaks and sagging, I might do something about getting rubber where there is no rubber, but should be - The front sub mounts. Canley have the rear lowers for about £2.50, Chris Witor has Poly ones for a fiver. 10 quid to do both sides makes me alot happier than 20 quid, but is there any real gain in the poly ones? Bear in mind it's a dog slow auto, with shot steering mounts and joint, and as a 1500tc, doesn't have a front anti roll bar fitted. So it's not a performance motor by any means!

Fail to see the point of uprated bushes myself, but can anyone persuade me to change my mind? <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">

Same question about the steering uj ones too - They definately need doing (on the fwd as well) - Rubber, poly, or simply replace the joint with a new one (for a cost)?

I will be fitting either poly or solid rack mounts eventually, partly to improve steering response and feel, and partly because I just can't get the rack on the TC to stay in place - Makes life fun when a bit of sharp cornering throws the rack to one side, and I have to jink the wheel hard to recenter it! <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/roll.gif ALT=":rollin">
