My 1st SE was so low i trashed a pair of tyres in 3 mths. it was on sprint wheels, and looking side on, the tops of the rims were level with, or possibly even above the highest point of the arch, making lewis K's green beast look like a hi lux! The things you do at 17! <img src=
The result was I had to get the sump welded twice, and the tyres were through to canvas and wire sticking out here and there in about 3 mths. You'd never get away with having a car that low on the roads these days.

knackered soft perished bushes will defo cause the problem, it'll be a gradual thing that gets progressively worse as the bushes die, and the more you chuck it about and blast thru the twisties, the worse the effect on your tyres. I'd change the bushes anyway and swop for poly, they're only a few £ a go.

if your ride height is much lower than an inch or so from the standard Hi - lux spec, the problem increases radically as the the wear is automatically shifted to the inner half of the tyre under normal conditions, let alone cornering.

camber adjusted by whacking in or removing shims between the subframe and top mount. I'm pretty certain theres meant to be 2 shims in there as standard.

Of course, for legal reasons, messing around with suspension geometry could be potentially dangerous and should not be attempted by anyone. including me. <img src=

(orange will have 3 top mount shims to start with for trial purposes <img src=
