REAR TIE BAR BUSHES

I was asked to drive a 1500SE this evening as it was not handling very well.

When I investiged I found that the rear tie bar bushes were shot. It is certainly an experience driving a dolomite with shot rear tie rod bushes.

It took me a while to find out which way round the new bushes should be fitted but I did in the end find a note that points out that there was a correction to official repair manual issued. They should be fitted plain faces of both bushes should be toward the axle bracket. see http://www.bac.com.au/dol.html
