Lumenition Optronic for Sprint?

#1 Post by MWU773V » Wed Apr 07, 2004 8:04 pm

Does anyone know if Lumenition make an Optronic system for the Sprint. I see they do a Magnatronic system. Is this any good?

ELECTRONIC IGNITION

#2 Post by 947T » Wed Apr 07, 2004 8:11 pm

I have some similar questions. <br>
1. is it worth coverting to electronic <br>
2. which is the best to buy. <br>
3. who would fit it in Wakefield area of west yorks <br>
4. how much would i expect to pay.<br>
i see in the rimmer catalogue that they offer 2 types but are similar in price one is called newtronic and the other lumenition magnetronic. what is the difference?

I saw the same thing in the catalogue and I think the Newtronic (nee Piranha) one is an Optical system whilst the Lumenition one is Magnatronic? Either way I have trawled the net as one does and they would seem to be quite easy to fit in an hour or so. Most people seem to say that Electronic Ignition is pretty good but regards the difference between the 2 systems I am in the dark.

Both the Newtronic (Piranha) & Lumenition leccy ign. systems seem to work fine and, in my experience, are very reliable. Both are easy to fit and definately a worthwhile upgrade. <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START :) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> <br>
<br>
I wish the search facility wasn't so rubbish then we wouldn't keep covering the same subjects over & over again. <!--EZCODE EMOTICON START >: --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ns/mad.gif ALT=">:"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END-->

Re; search facility....one day whhen I have some spare time I intend to break up the archives into smaller sections, each covering a different subject (e.g. electrics, cooling, mechanicals etc etc). This should make it easier to find topics.

Search Facility

#6 Post by MaddMart » Thu Apr 08, 2004 1:20 pm

I don't think it's the archives causing the problem Andy, I think the search engine doesn't function properly. I've searched for words that I know I've written in a thread somewhere but it doesn't find them.

I think you'll have more luck if you put <!--EZCODE BOLD START--><strong>lumenition</strong><!--EZCODE BOLD END--> into the search engine...
