As i can't look back at old threads can you remind me of suggestions for the best electric fuel pump locations. Running with a filter king into twin 45's so any set up tips for this would be great.<br>

I've always used in the the boot method. There is just room to fit a facet barrell type pump sitting upright, between the petrol tank and the spare wheel. Its great, its out of the way and nice & cool. All you need to do is to drill 2 holes in the back of the boot floor and run your in and out petrol hose. plus the original petrol pipe runs at the back of the boot, so you can just cut it and add the rubber hose on it, do'nt forget to put grommets on the holes you drill or it will cut the petrol hose in no time.<br>

you may want to add a cut off for the event of an accident.<br>
I got one off ebay for next to nothing, just breaks the circuit if a big shock so fuel is not pumped every where.

What was the cut off for you got hold of. Was it designed for fuel as the FACET instructions show an oil pressure switch which will have to be tapped into the engine. <br>

Some of the othe guys who use this board may be able to help, i guessed the Facet instructions meant the existing oil pressure switch could be used to earth out the circuit if pressure dropped.<br>
But as I was not clear - I left well alone and went down the shock cut off route.<br>

I havejust typed "fuel cut off" in an "automotive" search on ebay and found one from an xj for £1 with 16 hours left. Mine came off an Orion, just wired into the positive feed<br>

Mine's under the passenger seat (on the outside of the car).<br>

I gather by wiring in the fuel pump via the oil pressure switch, you loose the ability to pump fuel into the float bowls prior to starting the engine?<br>
