I'm sure there has been a thread on a different version of a water pump seal that did not rely on the seal between impeller and seal.
Was it Robsport?
Do they work well?

Cheers John, I'll give robsport a shout, fed up with rebuilding pumps with standard kit and getting a leak, even after getting impellers ground too.
would be another possible source.
The graphite seals do work but sometimes take a while to bed in. Any temptation to tap the pump down with the birmingham screwdriver is to be resisted...
I rang robsport, apparently its not them that do that seal. Although they did suggest as I had got the impellor faced that I run it for atleast 100 miles to bed it in.
