Clonk from autobox maybe???

Hi All,

I have a couple of probs with my 1850 hl auto, the first is that when I put the car in gear there is a big clunk as it takes up drive, usualy I would put this down to play in the diff but something someone has said to has made me question this, could the line pressure be too high? this would make some sense as when I got under the car and moved the prop there was only a very slight movement and not enough to cause the level of clonk I get also when cold the clonk is not apparent but this I put down to the torque converter draining down over night.
Second problem is that when pulling away (at any speed)
there is a juddering from the back end can anyone confirm that this would be the bushes on the back end.
Lastly, when pulling away with the steering on a hard right hand lock I get a rather strange graunchy kind of noise accompanied with a knocking that appears to be coming from the front of the car, all the wheel bearings appear to be ok and the exhaust seems well fixed and in good nick, if anyone can shed any light on my troubles I will be eternally grateful.
Jonners, sorry I didn`t get back to you about the welding on your astra, unfortunatley I had my golf broken in to and got my mobile nicked so didn`t have your number.
