Centre Bearing

I changed the rear propshaft UJ at the weekend but noticed that my centre bearing has started to part company with the housing part of it. I have ordered a new one which I plan to fit this weekend, my question is, does anyone know if the centre UJ has to be taken apart to remove the big nut that holds the yolk to the shaft.
