lost forward drive on auto box

Little while ago I lost reverse gear, which I got back by sorting the linkage and re-doing the brake band settings.<br>

I've now virtually lost forward drive after resetting the linkage and replacing the gearbox oil last night. The box wants to drive when engaged but produces very little forward motion - engine over-revving - but once rolling it maintains 30 - 40mph. It's almost as though the box is slipping.<br>

Checked the fluid levels cold and hot - if anything slightly overfull at present.<br>
