ANy ideas lads?

Since I've just changed the coil, the ignition light does not work.
Well I'm stumped on this one. I've changed the bulb, I've followed the wiring diagram and everything seems in order.

Anuybody had this problem before and if so, what other checks can I make? I have checked to date:

1. Feed from ig. barrel
2. Feed to fuse box
3. Alternator
4. coil

Have I missed anything?

cheers
Andy

I'd try running the bulb on it's own from a powerpack or from the batt, just to check it does work, even if it's a replacment.

I went banging around furiously when playing with the fusebox, it kept dying as even the replacment fuses were knackered from exposure.

4 new fuses, we're off.

You say you have checked the alternator but have you checked the wire from the ignition light to the alternator. I can`t believe just changing the coil would affect the ignition light. Does the alternator charge ok.

yeah alternator is working fine. I've checked the battery at standstill and whilst the engine is running.

12.5v at stand. 14.5 running.

I've checked all the wiring and everything seems in order. I'll swap or check the bulb again. Yeah I think it is a coincidence that I have just changed the coil.

Weird!!!!!

Only reason I say about the alternator charging is because the wire from the ignition light to the alternator is what excites the alternator so you`d think no light no charge, atleast thats the basic principal.
