.....either in ignorance or in his haste to strip all bits off the car I recently bought, the PO has sheared off the waterpump LH bolt at the shoulder well within the shaft itself so I can't easily weld something to it to facilitate removal.<br>

Any suggestions how to get it out? Do they make 'easy-outs' for LH threads? Don't particularly want to drill it out or weld to the shaft itself as otherwise the pump seems in good order. Can't weld to the impellar as its cast iron. i'm sure i seen a left hand easy out set with snap on tools but i havent got a current or old book to check

Snap on do a Left Hand set,<br>
EXDL10 £52.05 inc Vat 5x Easyout's + 5xDrills<br>
Not sure if you can buy just the one you need,<br>
The normal Right hand set is EXD10 £35.37 inc Vat<br>

Sprial Extracter Screw EX-2 4-6mm £2.70 <br>

Just drill and tap with an ordinary right hand threaded bolt. As you do it up you'll undo the remains of the pump bolt...<br>
Or you'll then have something to yank upwards with...<br>
