hello all, does any one know of any one that still has a supply of genuine Vandervill bearings? I only seem able to find the modern imitations of the real thing. I've even tried Clevite's but they don't do any thing that fits. any idea's any one?
i did manage to get some AE bearings from moss as opposed to the cheap imitations others sell.

Engine Bearings

From our supplier here in Australia, we have been advised that, Vandervell/AE will no longer be making Triumph Dolomite (or Stag) engine bearings. They say the demand is not sufficient to meet the production cost. I believe that they like to make runs of 10,000 sets.
We do still have some sizes available in Vandervell, until stock is depleted. Currently we are experiencing difficulty in locating a supplier of engine bearings in any size, so things don't currently look to good for the future. Any ideas???
We have been considering have bearings locally produced, but again cost of producing even a small batch versus on going demand makes it very difficult.
