If you fit the above part from RIMMERS, and then also fit part nos. AEK113(<!--EZCODE EMOTICON START 8) --><img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... lasses.gif ALT="8)"><!--EZCODE EMOTICON END--> , to your valve stems, BEWARE as two of these rubber rings ended up in the sump, the remaining six were found in various parts of the head and engine block. THEY HAD ALL SPLIT!

The 1500 has absolutey no need of this bodge as long as its had regular quality oil changes. You want the high pressure oil in the crank bearings and not in some poxy external tube spraying oil over your block and over-loading the rocker cover gasket.<br>

There is no problem with the external rocker feed as long as you use the proper one, otherwise you can reduce the pressure to the bearings as Jonners mentioned and ALWAYS use a new compression washer if you ever need to remove the pipe.<br>

As for the little rubber rings that are supposed to cure oil-down-the-stems problems, if you are expecting a crappy o-ring to fix the problem then you are very very optimistic. Crap idea.<br>

Ford fit these as standard, the exhaust ones go brittle after a few miles and disintegrate. My mate pays his mortgage by replacing them; he thinks they are a great idea!<br>

The 2.5 Triumph engines (1500 plus 2) benefit greatly from the rocker feed kit, reduces that typically tappety noise they'd make otherwise.

I was thinking of fitting the external oil feed to one of my 1500s but after reading the comments I think I will stick with the original design.

I have always used the external rocker feed and wouldn't use a 1500 engine without one. Not much money and eliminates the rocker shaft wear that these engines suffer. Recommended here...<br>

when i used to work for a triumph main dealer we never had any problems with oil feed to rockers other than <br>
owners who did their own servicing not checking the <br>
screw on the rocker shaft at service intervals this did have a habit of working loose other than that they seemed to go for pretty high miles whith out too much wear and you could always get them to run quiet

These valve stem oil seals should only be fitted to engines with single springs...if your engine has twn springs as on the 1500 engine there is insufficient bore in the small spring to clear the OD of the seal !!
