Oil in my sparkplug tubes

HELP! <br>
This week i thought i would tackle an oil leak or two, though there are more! I thought the rocker cover gasket would be an easy start. So i pulled out the plug leads and two are dripping with oil. Is it easy to get the tubes out and put new o rings in? <br>

I think you will find that the original OEM spark plug tubes will disintegrate when you try to remove them and fit new O rings. They're pretty crap. I used to have this problem as well. I replaced the tubes with the machined alloy ones from the club, they're far better and I don't have to clean my plugs once a week now....

I agree , the alloy ones are the Muts Nuts and are well worth the money and make future jobs pulling the top off so much easier.<br>

The chaps are right, those composite plug tubes are shite, there is no better way to describe them. You could gunge em all up with RTV, PTFE tape and all sorth but they will still leak and evry time you disturb them you'll have to do it all again.<br>

the club alloy ones with replaceable O'rings will solve your problem, they are a really nice piece of kit

Thats a another job on the list. The cars still running ok but i will have to sort it out. I will see how much money i have left<br>

The originals are alloy tubes too, but the expensive bit was done with a cheap plastic shrink wrapped sheath which goes brittle with heat and age.

TDC plug tubes are highly recommended.<br>
Just checked mine since fitting them.<br>
Bone dry!<br>
Dont forget a new rocker cover gasket and hold it in place with grease, none of that red or blue gunge!
