1300 fwd clutch pedal return spring

Morning all,

Can you please tell me if the Dolomite clutch pedal return spring (152307) is the same as that used on the 1300FWD? If so, I recall some were remanufactured a while ago. Are there any still available?
Asking for a friend, thanks in advance for any responses.

Re: JGU - 'Nina' 1975 Honeysuckle Dolomite (Pre 1850)

Hi James,
Only just found this thread. You mention replacing the front seats as they're non-hl items.
I bought the originals from Kyle a few years back, they were completely shot but I wanted them for the vinyl and diaphragms. I may have a very good front set though (not completely sure as I'm in ...

FBHVC Survey on ethanol fuels

Received this message today, via the TR Register:

The UK Government is considering new proposals on increasing the level of ethanol in 95 RON petrol and phasing out entirely the 'super' 97 RON petrol. The FBHVC has issued an invitation to enthusiasts inviting them to read the Governments ...

Re: Heat, seat and springs-a-daisy.

I can see why everyone says a header tank helps with cooling, my 21 year old 3 Litre turbo diesel Daihatsu never gets hot, stays at the same temperature as if the needle was glued there even after a long run into heavy traffic in 28°C heat but noticed today that a huge junk of the radiator fins ...

Re: Standard Triumph Marque Weekend 2018

Hi Jack,
I'm planning to come along so I'll keep you company!
Last time I was there - 2 years ago - there were just 3 Dolomites on the club stand and a couple of others among the general Triumph parking.

The tester who does my Dolomites doesn't let the screen washer jets mess up the windscreen or nice shiny paintwork - he's happy if they can dribble into a tissue!

That's shocking - why am I not surprised your visitor was insured with Saga?! you need to get yourself some new friends!
A great shame if either car is written off; do you have a clause in your policy so you can buy back the salvage on the blue one?

Re: Boiled clutch hydraulics - Dolomite 1500!

No it wasn't but as previously said some new ones are crap and fail quickly.

Sadly I've yet to find a new one that's not crap! The one I've had fitted had to have the angle grinder taken to it to 'modify' the groove for the mounting bolt. NOS would probably have knackered seals even if I could ...

Re: Boiled clutch hydraulics - Dolomite 1500!

Good point and not impossible to believe that this could happen, even with a new slave cylinder. However, would the car then go on to cover another 800 miles with only a couple more hiccups in the same department?

Yep when it happened on my truck it was several weeks and a lot of miles, a ...

Re: Boiled clutch hydraulics - Dolomite 1500!

What I meant is that if it was fresh fluid that had boiled, you would needed to have had temperatures that high, which suggests that the fluid 'aint all that, was the fluid you used out of a previously unopened tin?

Good point and I don't know to be honest. However, it was a hot day and the car ...

Re: Boiled clutch hydraulics - Dolomite 1500!

I've just drained out the old fluid and replaced with DOT 5.1 before now, certainly will work with new seals!

And yes, you could fit a Sprint clutch master and separate reservoir, but you shouldn't need to!

Good to know that DOT 5.1 would work with new seals, thanks also for confirming ...
