Re: Sprint Ignition
I drive a classic car to get away from modern electronics! I use new old stock Lucas or Intermotor points, which can usually be bought off ebay cheaper than Rimmers new ones. The trouble with modern points is that the plastic heel is too soft a material, meaning they wear out faster. I have done aro...

Re: Clutch Shudder = severe car shudder
I have the same issue. It only started after I replaced the clutch master cylinder, and I find if I feather the clutch after changing gear its less of an issue. I would defintly look at your clutch Hydraulics if the mounting change hasn`t cured it. I too have fitted the Chris Witor mounts, very good...

Re: Yokohama or other tyre recommendations (Sprint)
I have used Pirelli, and Vredestien. Happy with both, and I do drive like a lunatic! So they get a good workout!

Re: Oil Pressure Gauges
I must admit, I have never bled an Oil pressure gauge. Normally just pipe them up, and your good to go. Did this with the one on my Dolly in 2009, and I have had no issues with it at all. I would suggest now you have re introduced some air into the pipe, all will be well.

Re: Oil Pressure Gauges
I actually practiced on a scrap dash first. I used 2 sizes of hole saw and run them slowly. The tricky bit was the counterbore for the gauge bezel. You also have to cut a bit of metal out of the dash surround that sticks up behind the wood, that bit is relatively easy.

I will try and post one for you tomorrow. Its tight, but it does fit without moving anything else,I got the idea looking at a Stag dash.

Re: Steering rack u bolts.
I agree with you Richard. On the Sprint the oil pump restricts access when trying to remove the u bolt, and clamp. I found the easiest way to refit is to bend the u bolt to about 15 degrees halfway up, place the u bolt into the clamp, about halfway, then you can get the clamp under the oil pump, and ...

Steering rack u bolts.
Where is the best place to get steering rack u -bolts. I have bought some from a well known Triumph supplier (not Rimmers), and they have sent me 8mm diameter instead of 7mm diameter, and they really do not want to go through the clamps.

Re: Oil Pressure Gauges
I used a late TR6 oil pressure gauge, which is the same style as the original Dolomite gauges, and I cut a new hole in the dash, under the Fuel gauge. It just fits in, and looks factory.

Yep,as you say on the nearside pipe in the engine bay near the exhaust manifold. Mine is actually plastic and clips over the pipe.
Re the solonoid heatsheild last time I looked there was one for sale on ebay.

Re: Standard Rubber Suspension Bushes
Seriously. Why would anyone use 40 plus year old rubber suspension bushes? We all know rubber degrades over time (would you use 40 year old nos tyres?).I bought some new, standard suspension bushes from Rimmers earlier this year for the front upper wishbones, fitted fine and work fine.
