Hi all,
Just a quick reminder to check your fuel hoses. Mine is starting to look a bit worse for wear after about two years of use. No leaks yet, and the internals still seem fine, but it's worth keeping an eye on.
I bought this hose from a reputable supplier (Pirtek), and it's marked with the ...

Re: 1975 1500TC - Club Toledo/1500 Cardboard Radiator Cowl and Air filter pipe bracketstrial
Hi
Today I fitted "All Air filter pipe brackets and fibre board" from the club with some new 1-1/2in corrugated hoses and I am very happy with the out come. I will probably replace the fibre board with steel if it starts to fail (already copied it on to a bit of sheet steel so maybe cut it out and ...

Re: 1975 1500TC - Club Toledo/1500 Cardboard Radiator Cowl trial
Hi Guy
I think you have picked up the wrong end of the stick, there is no issues with the car, I just wanted to see what they look like and support the club.
Car always runs just below halfway on the gauge, and with the boards its the same, no changes.
Regards
Barry

Hi Chumley
When I fitted my MG studs, I did away with the back plate and put Loctite on the splines and I have had no issues.

1975 1500TC - Club Toledo/1500 Cardboard Radiator Cowl and Air filter pipe bracketstrial
Hi
As per the title I bought the Toledo/1500 Cardboard Radiator Cowl set to trial fit to my 1975 1500TC.
This is not a complaint at the parts, just an example of the fit to my modified car with the battery in the boot.
My thoughts are for my car the battery side fits very well, and I will make a ...

Hi
Been looking at a few kit cars, and most non ford based (Bahham, Marlin JBA, Spartan) that aren't Ferrari replicas seem slow to sell but I think the market is so small its a matter of hoping for the right buyer.

Hi
In my 1500TC I have ran Prestone universal coolant since 2015 with no issues (Original rad and water pump, I think as I have not replaced it). Its easy to get and since I use it in my 2000 BMW without issues it makes it cheap.
Although I only do about 2000 miles a year and change it every 4 ...

Re: 1500TC - Engine rebuild hints
Plan is just blow it apart, check for damage / ware ect and replace as required.
Measure the bore hopefully only need to replace the rings etc and not go for an overbore.
Yeah... been down that rabbit hole... and ended up with the engine in the photo above and an empty bank account! ;-)

1500TC - Engine rebuild hints
Hi All
I think this winter it is time to rebuild my 1500TC engine as the bottom end is not getting any more quite!
Seems simple enough and have done a few different engines in the past but wondering if there is any hints / upgrades to do while I am at it. The head is already been upgraded and ...
