These are some of the photos I took. Not a professional photographer though!
There was someone taking photos of cars arriving when I got there.
A very good location, well organised and a very enjoyable day.
Peter.

Inca Sprint near Alford, lincolnshire
Spotted today about 12:15 coming out of Alford up towards Ulceby Cross. Lovely day for a drive out .
I was going the other way in a green MX-5, gave you a friendly flash. Nearly took my Sprint today and when I saw this I wished I Had.

Lovely red Sprint on Sunday at Newark Autojumble
In the classic car section of the car park at the Newark Autojumble on Sunday. The car was wet through when I saw it but still looked really lovely.

Re: Cheap Capillary Electric Fan Controllers and Two Speed Control
Graham,
The one I used is a 5 amp ebay jobby with a XL4015 chip.
Small, about 50 x 25 mm £3.45 each.
My fan uses about 3.5 amps at low speed. The current draw vs voltage on the fan is not linear - it rises sharply as the voltage rises.
If I remember correctly from my applied physics days, the ...

Re: Cheap Capillary Electric Fan Controllers and Two Speed Control
Graham,
My diagram shows 6V for the lower fan speed. However that was only a starting point. I adjusted the output of the buck converter PCB with the variable resistor to obtain what I thought was a suitable fan speed.
My switch is indeed in the bottom hose, and I find the operation and engine ...

Re: Cheap Capillary Electric Fan Controllers and Two Speed Control
Graham,
I had exactly the same idea late last year.
I did lots of experimenting like you, and my eventual solution was similar to yours.
A two-stage fan switch with M22 thread (92 and 97 degrees), which has a reasonable hysteresis.
A 32 mm inline fan switch housing, which fits either top or bottom ...

Re: Aftermarket door mirrors.
I have Tex mirrors, which are common, and mount in the same way as the previous pictures.
When I got my car both mirrors were flat glass, and black.
Convex versions are available, and I now have these and in chrome/stainless.
Most sellers seem to supply flat ones. You’ve got to look for the convex ...

As far as I know, the MKI & MKII Have a conventional mechanical auto box.
There is a mechanical selector lever connected to the box in the normal way.
There is an electrical switch on the selector arm, (Mazda call it the range switch), but all that does is the Neutral/Park starter inhibitor and ...

Re: wiring diagrams
I agree about the efficacy of modern solder. In addition, the flux contained within modern solder is much less aggressive than the old stuff.
When soldering ‘difficult’ stuff like the rear dolomite lamp-holders, I have found that a small spot of plumber’s flux is beneficial.

Re: Mystery wire
The same spare wire is present on my sprint built 1977.
It is white with a pink tracer.
According to my workshop manual, it connects to the ignition switch on the ‘radio’ position, and it is called No. 84 Auxiliary heater supply.
Possibly for use with electric aerials?
Peter
