Thanks to all of you for the numerous suggestions. We solved our problem by fitting a small electrical pump into the heater circuit and inserted a a plastic plug with a 1 mm hole into the bypass tube

No we have not checked compression, as it is obvious that the engine is not running at its optimum,
is burning oil ( nice blue smoke coming out of the exheaust) and we made the decision to rework the engine.
That's why I try to collect advices and experiences
