Re: JGJ - 1975 Dolomite Sprint

I don’t think I’ve even got the patience to lay parts out like that for a photo! Exceptional attention to detail as usual. Lovely stuff.

Re: Market Value

Hi Mike I used to use photo bucket too. I don’t like post image, it’s a bit rubbish to be honest.

Try https://imgbb.com/ it works exactly like photobucket - without the annoying emails trying to get some money out of you. Just upload your images to the free site, and copy and paste the link into ...

Re: JGJ - 1975 Dolomite Sprint

Really lovely standard of work as usual James.

Do you offer your services professionally? My car will need some surgery at some point and I’m looking for someone I can trust to do the right thing.

All the best, Bish.

Re: LLU the Mimosa Sprint

Tinkering update; I’ve finished the timing chain, so fresh coolant and Valvoline VR1went in when everything was put back to make LLU oil and water tight.

Fitted a club supplied starter motor because the old one had an intermittent fault.

Re: Market Value

Well done to you Mike!

It looks like a really lovely car from here. I thought you did ok on the price too. Glad to hear the car will be loved and used. I hope you get a decent summer up there so that you can really get out there and enjoy driving it.

Carbs on eBay Scam

Hello all

Dolomite Sprint HS6 twin carbs on eBay. Sorry can’t post a link but the eBay number is 316177389792.

Must be a scam. The same listing has popped up over the last few weeks. Don’t send any money unless you are sure the listing is legit!

Cheers, Bish.

Re: Club Track Days 2025

I would love to do a track day but my car is in several pieces at the moment with no guarantee of it being back on the road by then.🙄

Being realistic about the situation, it would probably have to be later in the year, or even next year, for me. I hope you get enough interest this year to make it ...

Re: LLU the Mimosa Sprint

Hello Dave.

I guess I could have drilled a hole but being a Rolon made one I just thought I’d change it. Like I say it’s probably overkill and there’s nothing wrong with the Rolon tensioner, but it had got in my head!

Thanks for the offer of the carpet. More food for thought.

Re: LLU the Mimosa Sprint

So, the Wimmerman chain turned up this week.

I made up a hybrid tensioner with parts from the both that I have, using the Renold body and skipper pad, and Rolon ratchet and spring. I like the fact that the Renold body and slipper has an oilway. The slipper is ever so slightly grooved from its time ...
