That looks very smart - Love a bit of shiny machining. Is it a one piece distributor body specific for the Sprint or is a mount that has been added to their generic dizzy? It makes a huge difference, you won't be disappointed.
The standard advance curve was fine ...

Re: Sprint axel - Overhaul advise?
Hello. Don't forget to check the half-shaft endfloat when you reassemble. Too much endfloat and the bearings will grind on the axle. If you reassemble using the same parts the endfloat shouldn't change, but if it does you'll need some shims. Mick Dolphin had the bits I needed.

Re: 123 Dizzy Bracket
You are welcome.
I've done a little under 1000 miles with it and all seems well so far. I'm pulling the engine in late spring for some head work. I'll take the opportunity to remove the dizzy and jackshaft and check for any abnormal wear, etc. I'll post anything of note.

Re: 123 Dizzy Bracket
Good afternoon, I have attached the drawings for my dizzy adaptor. I only have the top and side drawings but it should give you the dimensions you need. It bolts to the block and uses a standard dizzy bracket to hold the 123 in place. It is the single best improvement I have made, once I had played ...

Re: Electronic ignition.
Good evening, I made the conversion to 123 Bluetooth. It is the single best modification I have made, but it is expensive and fiddly.
I took a slightly different approach to others but I'm pleased with the results. I have been trying to find my adapter drawings for another member but can only find ...

Re: Smiths Guage - green filter
Always good to have a plan 'B'! Please post a picture when you've fitted them, it'd be good to know how they compare to the originals. The volts gauge in the picture below is the bulb I coloured green - The others are original. Not perfect but near as it needs to be!

Re: Smiths Guage - green filter
Good morning, I colour clear bulbs with a green Sharpie pen. You need to go over them a few times to get the depth of colour but they look great once done.

Re: Twin Su idle high
Hello, have you considered worn spindle bushes? My car had a similar issue and it was due to air getting past the spindle bushes. It makes a lean mixture and high idle. Easy to test, with the engine idling spray some carb cleaner on the spindle bushes of both carbs - Be careful not to set fire to ...

Re: Ignition 123 Adapter
Hello Russ, it's pricey but a clever bit of kit.
You can save various centrifugal and vacuum advance curves in the 123 app and then bluetooth them to the dizzy. It has a tune function so you can start with the standard curves and then adjust on the road. I've not had much time to play with it but ...

Ignition 123 Adapter
Good afternoon, I thought I'd share this as it has made a notable difference to my car - More torque and smoother delivery throughout the revs. If, after a few months of use, it proves to be a reliable design/distributor I'll put the drawings on the forum - Albeit I forgot to get them back from the ...

Re: Rear hub bearing grinding on axle - See pictures
Just an update - I have fitted a replacement half-shaft, bearings/seals (both sides) and shimmed it to spec. I've only done a couple of hundred miles but all seems well. Thank you for the advice, I now know my way around a Dolomite axle!
