I have now replaced the pump and I have also changed the oil.

Rebuild kits are available, bit of a fiddle to do but doable at home.
New pumps seem to be too high a pressure and require a regulator.
Hope you used proper branded R9 etc fuel hose......especially with E10 now in general use.
I used R6 fuel hose as image, what is the difference between R6 ...

Thanks Tony for the help & quick reply.
I was aiming to keep as much as original as possible but guess this isn't always going to be possible and in reality doesn't really matter as it will be more about getting the car back on the road and being as reliable (and safe - no fuel escaping) as is ...
