Thanks for the detailed reply, I have today cleaned out all the lines and carbs forward of the fuel filter and will give it another go tomorrow.
I managed to grab a quick video of the spluttering, it runs fine and then this kicks in.

Poor running - Fuel Tank Replcements
I have posted a couple of times on the Facebook group but thought I would post here to keep track a bit easier.
I bought my Dolomite 1850HL back in August, and ended up bringing it home on the back of a recovery truck as it started spluttering and cutting out not long after I filled up with fuel ...

Re: Recommended tyre for Dolomite 1850 for a reasonable price.
I've been on this exact search in the past month for my 1850, although at 175/70R13 size to go with 5.5" wide alloys.
The main ones that came up recommended were the Uniroyal RainExpert3, Falken Sincera SN832 and the Continental EcoContact6. The Falkens seem hard to find now in 175/70R13 size but ...

Hi
I must say i am suprised you find these tyres expensive. I dont think they really need the V speed rating, but it does just show the quality.
60 profile tyres will not react well with your chassis, it has a completely inappropriate carcass structure which will finish the progressive ...

Did you go for 185/60R13 size?veeeight wrote: ↑Sat Oct 26, 2024 11:25 am I have recently bought a set of 5 Yoko's https://www.demon-tweeks.com/uk/yokoham ... re1299641/
Not done a lot of miles on them yet but at £75 each they do seem a superb tyre. Better than £160 each for a period look I don't really need.

I fitted a setof Yokohama Advan HF Type-D A008S tyres to my Sprint last year, it is a period tyre from the late 70s early 80s with the correct speed rating for a Sprint and just shy of 100 a corner. Very pleased with them :D
Interesting, not come across that option, any comparison with ...

Re: 13"
I've been looking at this as I will be in the market for a new set of tyres in the next month, the 'clasic' options from longstone are just far too expensive IMO, at at least £160/each. Really the only widespread options are Uniroyal RainExpert 3 & Continental Eco Contact 6 (even at £80-90 each) as ...

Re: Replacement lowering shocks (& springs?)
I've been impressed with my new to me 1850HL which came with GAZ adjustable shocks and 1" lowered springs (unknown source). Actually rides very well I think, its also had a lot of the suspension re-bushed, again not sure on which make as they are just plain orange but I'll have a look back through ...
