Just an update new part from the club arrived and is now up and running, thanks everybody for your help

Thanks for all your help, the solenoid bought at Rimmers was wrong so I've joined the club and ordered a new starter from them, so when it arrives I will hopefully have it going ill let you know how it goes and I have no doubt I'll be needing your expertise again

That's great info I'll get on that tonight, I have got 12v at the ignition spade for the solinoid will test out to the body and see how it goes thanks again

Cheers for reply, yes I was surprised but I think it's the wrong part, sorry can't work out what I've done wrong uploading image, I'm new to this stuff, will try jump starting it when I have a chance sadly I've recently moved to Newark from Essex and don't know anyone who can help me get it back up ...

Hi all first time on here I've always wanted a dolomite and thankfully finally managed to get a 1978 dolomite 1500 :) all good for almost a week.
Sadly stopped working just wouldn't turn over checked battery and ignition and traced power to starter solinoid but nothing from there no sound from ...
