but the slave cylinder I looked at is different to yours....?

Hmmm….

According to my September 1975 parts list (which should NOT be considered a final authority) those 3 were all available for series 1, with the addition (so it says) of Shadow Blue (27) Grey (78) and New Tan (33) the last of which, IIRC, was a vinyl colour, was only used on the lower spec models and...

Aye....

Regarding wheel nuts,
Chris Witor has new both 3/8"UNF and 7/16"UNF available from stock for 7.70 + VAT each (£9.24)
I believe these are actually improved versions made from steel rather than light alloy

Aye.....

Looks like the safe option from Rimmers would be these guys (but I’m nervously squinting at £612!) https://rimmerbros.com/Item--i-RL147355X13BLK They wheels fitted with 175/70 tyres, from experience, are a good option Alex. Please note, they have an ET25 offset which is wider than standard, so make...

Aye….

There are quite a few BMCs that will fit (thinks 80s European )
They ideally need to be 22.2mm (7/8”) bore.
Saab 99/900 are ideal because they are mounted horizontally in original applications….

Yes.....

1850, can you get silicone for an 1850? and would they be the way to go? Also, actual coolant as well, will waterless work in our cars? Silicone is definitely the way to go but buy a European made version not a poor quality from further afield. Please use proper quality hose clips, I only use JCS. ...

Aha…

Hi Ian, I have swapped over to 12 volt and no ballast. A friend who is good at electronics has the later rev counter so he is going to transfer the parts from one to the other so it will look the same and should i want to revert back i will still have a good one. I hope that makes sense  That ...

Tony, what are you looking to do?
Are you needing to borrow a rev counter until your own is repaired?

Thanks
Ian

They can be repaired Olie.
I cut off the broken bit and weld on a bolt.

If going down this route, it is best to acquire new bushes. Superflex sell
suitable ones.....

They bypass tubes with the fitted rubber sleeve were fitted to both early 1850s and Sprints.
The metal part is actually mild steel (so will rust).

Hmm...

As old fashioned as it is, the Gunson's Easibleed does work.
I had only used it for clutches until I needed to bled a Focus mark2 after BMC replacement
and it worked no bother.

Not used a vacuum system so cannot comment on them.
