It wouldn't be too much of a stretch to call forums "social media" ;)

Re: Boot lid seal

Oddly my Rimmers one about... I dunno.. 5 years ago seemed too thin - the boot lid rattles unless I have it sat so low it's no longer flush with the body. Weird!

being a small theatre with extremely limited resources they can't possibly give a reading gadget to every programme seller

How many sellers do they have? You can get readers for about £20 now, they probably spend that much on a uniform..

I've not used cash since shortly before covid kicked ...

Did that fit ok between the front chassis legs? I'm looking for a new rad for my MX5 swapped one.. Using MG-F one currently and it's all a bit annoying..

Re: Rear brake auto(non-)adjusters

Do you have the little H pieces? If not it wont work properly.

Also, unless your hand brake releases all the way it wont allow the adjuster to click (try moving the lever on the drum with the cable disconnected and see if you get the clicks).

Having said that, mine never bloody work either

Just make sure you have the breaker bar set up in the right direction

My front drivers side has three clips because I dropped so many clips and cut my hands so many times I was getting blood on the glass. Three seemed like enough..

Re: Banger Challenge in aid of Ukraine Relief work

Squealing could just have been the belt disintegrating and being a little 'longer' for the last few minutes of its life. It's an easy job to replace and a common size (Halfords had something to fit when I was in a bind once).
