Re: As seen on TV

I have to say in total honesty, I jumped up and cheered when I watched this and the Sprint crossing the line in front.

I had absolutely no idea there was going to be a Sprint on the show and it was absolutely fabulous....and thanks for sharing the story.

James May is a thoroughly decent chap.

Re: The 2016 Monte Carlo Rally,......

Fabulous stuff Ian.....Myself and my fellow massive classic car/Triumph/Mini enthusiast (from Bower) wanted to attend but, alas, Oil work is, "take what you can get" just now and that has to be priority.

Thanks for the pics

Re: Most difficult car to repair

My mate took on an MGF, it broke him!! Don't get me wrong, he wasn't an experienced mechanic, but he's not a cack handed hammer wealding clown either. You need three hands with foot long rubber fingers to work in the guts of those things. Love it!!!

Re: Why don't people buy MGFs

In answer to the subject...., " because they're crap"

That's really not fair, I was just trying to be funny, and, as usual, failing massively! I've had the pleasure of 3 MX5's and every one was brilliant! (Even though, I looked like I was wearing it!! I'm a wee bit robust for a Jap Élan)

I like ...

No one tailgates me when I'm in the Zed car...not sure why 8)

The standard of driving is appalling in the UK....is this me getting old or is it real?

Driving in Aberdeen is like the hard bit on The Krypton Factor....

There are loads of Audi's, Wank Rovers and Bee Emms all driven by the oil ...

I think the main questions that you need to ask yourself before deciding on running a classic on a daily basis are, 1- do you have a basic mechanical/electrical knowlage and workshop manual? 2- do you have a garage or driveway or somewhere to do small repairs? 3- do you have a contingency plan if ...
