Re: seat spares supplier?

Have ordered some epdm sheeting and will try the eyelet approach. I have also decided to get rid of the whole metal spring idea in the seat back and am going to try rubber sheet there as well. Even after I got all welded up I don't like it and the rubber straps on the back are pretty worn and I can ...

Graham I actually ended up welding then back together and made some replacement hooks from coat hangers - must be a bit of yorkshire in me too :D

I'm now trying to decide if I update the seats a bit or stay totally original? I might try and straighten the curve out in the back and increase the ...

seat spares supplier?

Hi all I'm refurbing seats at the mo and wonder if anyone knows where to get seat diaphram hooks and also the vertical wires that the rubber belts on the seat back attach to? I have a broken one of each in the drivers seat.

Thanks

Re: door locks and choke

Initially I'm just going on and off using a variable timed relay but will look at doing it thermostatically if it works ok. I'm using an auxiliary channel on the remote fob so for a hot start I won't turn on choke at all. Eventually I'll probably go fuel injection and then remote start is easy ...

Re: MUF286P

Did my clutch slave this afternoon. I now totally believe in tunnel access plates :D

I did it without removing the bracket. Just removed feed pipe, clevis pin on lever and the two bolts holding the cylinder. Split the old cylinder for the spring to put in my new super duper stainless sleeved club ...

MUF286P

Do you know when you are really excited after buying a new classic and it arrives so you spend a couple of days figuring out what parts you need and what jobs need done? Then you look at the list and say s***, what did I get myself into - well I'm there

Best analogy is James Herriot - he ...

Re: reliability upgrades for daily driver

Ok dolly arrived this afternoon. MUF286P. The fun begins now :D

The shell is ok (has a poorly done paint job) but nearly all mechs will need checking.
The diff is wet so needs addressed.
No other obvious leaks. Will try and get fuel and power hooked up this weekend and check all fluids.
The ...
