AFAIK, on a Sprint, the o/d crossmember is the same as the 4 speed one, only the metal mount twixt box and rubber mount is different.

The down pipe bracket either is, or soon will be, available as a remanufactured part from Club Spares.

Steve is correct, though the mount is identical too.

The bracket is indeed available through club spares, remanufactured and improved so hopefully will last longer than original! £22 inc postage to uk addresses, slightly more for overseas.

If ‘upgrading’ from an automatic, you will need the cross member as the auto version is different, but I’d think hard before converting what is now a rather rare car.

The rubber mount is identical, though current wisdom is to use a Volvo rubber mount, rather than the indifferent quality, pattern copies of the original, which are all that is currently available. Don't have the make and part number of the Volvo mount to hand ATM, but no doubt someone will post it!

The bit that IS different (perhaps I wasn't clear) is the metal bracket that goes ABOVE the rubber mount and bolts to the gearbox.

Thanks everyone. I am converting from non OD manual so no autos will be harmed!
I'll be ordering the club part :)
I'm keen to try the Volvo mount too as I am getting a lot of vibration and the car is newly restored with, I suspect, the pattern mount usually supplied.
@Richard, message sent.

A quick forum search suggests the Volvo gearbox mount is made by Febi (a Bilstein subsidiary) part number 22394. These are readily available on ebay for around a tenner.

Youll need to elongate the holes slightly on the febi mount and add a spacer to get the box the right height. 6mm from memory.

Technically, for anal retentives, Tony is correct about the spacer.

HOWEVER.......

I've fitted about half a dozen of these now, never bothered with the spacer (it's only 6mm) and have not had any problems.

Managed to find a NOS mount - when it arrives will be interesting to compare with Volvo one and pattern one!
