I didnt know they need fettling for the grilles,i have the same panel

They need a LOT of fettling to fit the front grilles. Fitted on to my car when I restored it, also the top of the front panel, where it meets the top of the wings may need fettling as well. Mine was so bad here, that I welded the original tops ontop of the new panel to match the heights upto the wings.

I have one too, the lower panel "flares" out where it joints the wing whereas it should be at straight. Easy enough to sort and not unusual for a pattern part but not a hang it and weld it option like a Stanpart item.
