I can heartily recommend Rallt Deisgns Maxtorq range of pads. They offer excellent value and stopping power. The only real downside is that they are quite dirty

Hi,in response to the critisisms of the ebc pads, you must have been unlucky, and had a faulty pad.
I RACE motobike and sidecars, and in 10yrs.ive never had any problems, they always manage to stop the old tz outfit very well, bearing in mind its capable of doing 160mph!
I recently fitted some greenstuff pads in my sprint,to replace the nos ferrodo pads I had,and immediantly the pedal was harder, and you can feel more bite through the pedal.
Just thought I share that info.make of it what you will.

Just got back from the south of france and decided to spend some time on the car whilst the girlfriend unpacks(best to keep a distance whilst she does this as she just moans about the washing that needs doing)since the last update i have now finished the front subframe and painted the rear axle.I have had to do another rimmers order because they sent two sets of steering bushes but no ARB bushes so i couldnt refit that yet but i still fitted the shocks with the green springs which i have been told earlier in this listing are a custom made set, i also changed the top suspension bushes to poly. As i posted before i have i set of rear trailimg arm bushes that rimmers sent in error that i would like to sell these are standard rubber not uprated after close inspection but are brand new i also have various poly bushes that are second hand but good that i want to sell along with a subframe mount set of polybushes so if anyone is interested give me a pm cheers lee

I have a set of Mintex front pads, new in box. The Quicksprint has the original trackerjack conversion so of little use to me. Offers...?

It depends on the arrangement you had with the shop. If you went for a cheaper price on that basis of a back burner type of
operation then you can always say that you'd like the burner turned up and renegotiate.

My experience is that a good shop will have plenty of work and a reasonable turnover. Time for a visit and prolonged chat. If it doesnt work out
then get it moved somewhere esle.

Spoke to the bodyshop friend today to try and get a idea of when they are going to start it, and he has told me that they have planned to get it in next week to make a start so we will see what happens.

ah, body shop malaise strikes over there as well :D

sounds like back-burner syndrome, as Jonners suggested. Be patient with them, getting narky won't solve anything and will cause bad blood.

here's hoping she'll be out within a few weeks.

good luck

All the time its in the bodyshop you can focus on your house!

You have gone so far with the car lee, don't give up now.

I have seen several people go through this stage, myself included and even some of the most well restorers on this forum have had periods of thinking about giving up. In the long run it will be worth it and the road to Dolomite stardom is littered with people who looking back on it wished they had finished their car off.

i think i will just crack on with the house as you say david and look at the car with fresh eyes when it comes back home and hopefully regain some enthusiasm to carry on with it.
