Well not been able to do much yet on the Little White Tolly due to family comitments but today I did manage to get a spare couple of hours work done on it.

So today I started to investigate why the overdrive had failed on me 50 miles from home,
whist investigaing I poked my head under the bonnet and could see that one of the wires on the inhibitor switch had fell off i replaced it poped the gearbox in 4th and clicked the switch in low and behold the overdrive engaged. :D

after this victory I cleaned under the bonnet area insulating some bare wires.

after this I started treating a couple of rust scabs.

Happy days. :D :D :D

Too easy, Glenn! Please find something that takes longer than a couple of seconds to fix.

Glad it wasn't broken though, that's the way to do it.

Things like that are always so gratifying - I had one like that on the Jeep, the centre overhead console had dropped at one corner and I'd always assumed that a plastic clip in the roof had broken or similar.

A few days ago I was sitting in a car park waiting for someone so out of curiousity I started poking around - and realised that it has metal catches that overlap and hold it up. I pushed it into the roof (causing it to pop out a bit, over the retaining edge) and voila, fixed and secured! :D

Nice one Glenn, you've got to get my former LWT as shiney as possible!

Do you still want the seats, forgot to ask you earlier in the thread.

Ken

Nice one mate, no problem. Is that still the complete 1500FWD black interior?

Rob or James on here might be able to help. A 1300FWD bootlid fits too.

More piccies!

Could the living paintwork legend who is (Comrade) Paul not do you a nice paint job? He knows his way around spraying kit according to those in the know. 8)

Ah, that's a bugger. Can you not rent a Gazebo-type thing from a tent hire place and use that to provide cover? OK, so they don't like their rental equipment being taken back covered in dark brown paint  , but as your car's almost white, you may get away with it.
