Having finally actually got round to looking at a few jobs on my tolly today I started looking at the state of the paintwork.

my intention has always been to get it resprayed as the paintwork is best described as eeerrmmm....CRAP.

Question is do I keep the car bog standard Leyland white or do I go for a colur change in funky orange as the Tolly Pictured below

Orange FTW!

...but make it a slightly different shade or it won't be unique.

How about:

Well we have an orange Tolly already, so you have to go with a diffrent colour Glenn.

The mint green was a really good colour but Ferrari Yellow or Fiat Golden yellow would look good with the black interior.

She'll always be Little White Tolly to me.

Cobalt Blue...... but the prep will have to be immaculate as it would show up any defect.

Why not orange but with a yellow pearl on top, or black or white with a blue, red, green or yellow pearl?

Orange with the black stripe looks really cool too i think.

Or silver but with a coarse aluminium over the top....?

Then you also have the option of doing any of the above but in matt... With paint you always get a mixed reaction from people, but if you are going to change the whole colour, it would be cool to do something different.

Paint it limitless so its just left to your imagination really but its always easier to go the safe route and do a straight colour if your worried about it being too different. :)

Has it been painted yet? or is it just prepped?

You could still keep it the same colour but throw a green pearl on top of the yellow, that way its still the same yellow but with a twist, (although pearl would normally be in or on top of a metallic base). Depending on the bodyshop of course, they are probably going to paint it clear over base as the big garages don't normally spray 2k solid colours anymore, so it would be easy to overcoat the base with pearl or add some pearl to the first coats of clear after laying down the yellow base. Just a thought...

Nah Johnnie its wot you do....

Tell it like it is...its fascinating. I was surprised at how good I did some Inca out of a ratlle can tother night.....white primer is the secret.

As to colour choice...white does suite the short tail ones. But I'd do it saphire blue or mallard.
