It wouldn't be the LWT any more if you painted it that colour. It would have to be the LGT.

Let's see some piccies.

Only kidding re: green

Looks like I will be going for Jaguar Lavender Blue. Have always loved that colour and it is fairly understated.

Glenn, have you still got the Tolly door card for the rear door?

Great. Thanks Glenn. I will have a little chat with Gary and see what can be sorted. I've put a wanted ad out as two handles are needed.

Starting to strip a few little bits and bobs off. Starting with the sills upwards this time.

Nice day weather-wise, so the work begins:

Front and rear O/S doors taken off.

Electric file used to grind away the crud on the A pillar

Knotted wire wheel utilised to remove the many layers of paint on the sill, part of the rear arch and door shuts. 90% done before the call to lunch.

Very little grot identified other than some small perforations around the A pillar. This was anticipated. All else is sound so far. No piccies as I forgot to charge my camera. Whoops.

Cheers Glenn, once i've got all of that side down to bare metal I will rust kill it all, fill what needs filling and give it a couple of coats of red oxide.

A sanding session will then ensue and a couple of coats of grey primer should see it all prepped for the top coat. I will then start on the door inner sections. This will give the paint time to harden properly before I refit the door. Am trying to be more methodical this time. All the tricky bits first, then the bigger sections.

I plan to vinyl wrap the roof and possibly the bonnet. Looking at carbon fibre I suppose for simplicity.

Pics will follow :D

Glenn, looks like it's me, you and Dave keeping this thread going. The forum is a much quieter place, or so it seems.

Anyway, hoping to get piccies later today.

Still no lead, so a verbal description will have to suffice for now. More paint stripping occurred and the sill itself and the lower panel on the front O/S wing are super duper. There is at worst a little bit of dimpling here and there which may require the lightest smearing of filler to eradicate. Am I happy? Oh yes. Even the rear arch is solid.
