I suspect that your careful assembly work is also responsible for this happy state of affairs, but hey, let the grease take the credit if you like, it's all good.

It also Helped when reassembling the manifold all the nuts and bolts were brand new as was the bypass tube and waterpump cover the only part re used were the carbs and manifold
