right anyone for a bit more? this is where it gets interesting i suppose :D the engine that i was running round with eventually blew up( of course) so matthew(my mate) and me took it out and set about a full rebuild. I funded the project and passed tools and coffe whilst matthew done the hard work. I had the crank reground. all new bearings, gaskets, oil pump, rings and so on. only a couple of pics of the engine swap and none of the rebuild :( sorry was busy being greasy :D

got the engine in and all running and started doing a little bit of preperation for the spray job myself. done a little bit and got bored so took it straight to a garage where i was to have the spraying done and let them crack on with me going down at weekends and after work to lend a hand. first job was take all the doors off and replace the sills.

Are those the doors off of the white car you were restoring (the one in your avatar?).

How did you find fitting the doors from a different car onto this one go? Did it take long to get them right?

Then the fun started. it was time for top coat. Now all along id decided that i wanted it metallic bronze. but then i changed my mind and decided yellow. then i changed my mind and decided magenta then i . . . . . . . . . this happend for ages till i decided to go to halfords and have a look at what colours they had. got there spend about half hour kneeling on the floor till i finally settled on daytona yellow. was landed. but as i was walking out i spotted a different on. totally different. and thhought hmmmmmm. i bought that colour aswell. went home and sprayed two big bits of cardboard. one daytona yellow and the other the mystery colour. i decided yellow was a bit bright so went for option two. anyone fancy a guess? 8)

Don't bend it again, or a bunch of forum members from the North East will travel to Wales and slap your legs!
