Original fuse rating is 35 amp blow rate with a 17 amp continuous load so your 10 amp jobs are never going to stand it! Steve |

Good evening , my dolly is back on the road since last winter...with no heat in the car  I found a small leak of coolant between the admission ramp and the water pump , so i changed the inlet seal and the o ring seals between the pump and the head . Now the heating is ok , but i still find a small leaks under the head Any idea ? Have a nice week end Laurent |

Hi , i met some of your members last week at stoneleigh and registered the TDC i swapped my auto gearbox this winter ( noise in the torque converter ), for a 1850 OD one i already have a good OD gearbox checked , but still need all the parts set to cover the gearbox -cover 820500 -console unit XKC 1731 -vynile "gauntlet" on the lever if anybody can sale these specific parts (sprint parts doesn't fit for 1850 gearbox) to france , please PM PS for DAN : i already checked this zone , but saw nothing

You may also need to change the axle ratio if you live in a hilly area. You need a 3.63 and the auto is 3.27. I will look for the parts you need. Is it an early or late gearbox. Is reverse next to 1st or 3rd? Jonners |

I'm sure I have the tray with its integral gaiter. There is also a rubber boot that is attached to the tunnel. Do you have the tunnel? It won't be easy to find one in France. I dont think I have one for the single rail box....only the early 3 rail. You may have to modify the auto one? Jonners |

I found this in my box of bits from years ago. I've measured it up and annotated some dimensions. I have also compared it with the one fixed in SWK which now has a single rail 1850 gearbox, but originally had that funny experimental CVT transmission installed. Something I realised was that the one installed slopes down at an angle of 30 degrees because the rear face is much shorter top to bottom. If this one in the photo was fitted the coin tray part would be close to horizontal. So is this an 1850 single rail part ? If so and if Jonners can't find one it would be spare. Tony.

Yes, the single rail came in in late 1975 I think. |

Tony has posted a lovely picture of an early 3 rail tray.... The single rail is much shallower at the back edge.... This I think is how it works....you can use a single rail tunnel on a 3 raiil car but a 3 rail tunnel will probably foul the gearchange remote. So you need a single rail tunnel to cover all the bases... Mine (spare) is a 3 rail sadly.... Jonners |

Thanks for that Jon ! Your knowledge is encyclopedic. So for what Laurent wants could he carefully cut this down to be the shorter single rail coin-tray if we supplied dimensions ? Or is it not that simple ? This one came from MPD my very early Stromberg powered 1850 from 1973 I remember now. Tony. |
